After visiting Directorate General of Public Relations (DGPR) I headed towards my next destination. In the meanwhile I opened my diary and came across the annual dinner organized by Fountain House. I completely forgot about this programme. Fortunately, through my diary I became aware of it an headed towards the hotel.
Ayesha Imran Murtaza hosted the program. It started with the recitation of Holy Quran, recited by a special child from HRVRC. Afterwards Kids played the National anthem.

Statements of Different Personalities on the Occasion
General Secretary of Fountain House, Baba Ghayas-uddin was presented the Life Time Achievement Award. Moreover, Best Performance Award was presented to Syed Ahmad Zaki Naqvi.
Important personalities from different fields of life attended the programme including Dr Nizzam-uddin, Vice Chancellor of Superior University, Professor Dr Ali Sajid, University of Lahore; Asghar Zaidi, Vice Chancellor of GC University. However, the family members of patients performed a script that highlighted the psychological issues. Many patients expressed their thoughts. The title of skit was ” Muashary ki behisi aur apno se doori” (the impassive role of society and the ignorance of near and dear ones).
Dr Amjad Saqib addressed to the audience that your gathering makes them (victims) feel light. They are the underlying part of our society. we should respect their feelings and emotions. They are the part of our society, whom we are neglecting. We should stand by them through each situation. Such programmes encourage them and boost up their will to cope there issues. Furthermore, Dr Syed Imran Murtaza said that these people are not only suffering with psychological issues. But their families have also abandoned them. Depression is incredibly rising in our society, We should try to make Fountain House grow faster, so that such issues come to an end.
Facilities at Fountain House
Since 1971, Fountain House has helped more than 60,000 people to deal with their psychological trauma’s. More than 700 people (including 200 women) are given psychological assistance at Fountain House, and this is really appreciable to see an institution within Pakistan working correctly and its staff is giving there 100 percent.
