Today I am going to share a story of Young talented brave girl, She is studying in Beacon House Margalla Campus Islamabad. People often ask me why I write regarding young stars,
So I tell them to promote Sports & Culture of my beautiful Country I share these wonderful stories to create passion in young generation of Pakistan.
Today’s star is Neha Zainab, She was born on 04th August 2001 in the city of Rawalpindi Pakistan.
Regarding her passion for badminton, she says
I spent most of my Childhood in Oman,
The schools there did not offer sports opportunities. So, I started going to a small sports club, Which was near my home.
The first day I went to the club , I saw some people playing badminton. At that very moment I found out that badminton is different than other sports and it is very good for health and requires mental and physical strength and I said that’s my game to play.
She says in badminton you have to decide the strategy according to the opponent and in singles you are not dependent on anyone for your win or loss.
That is when I realized that badminton is a game best suited for a person like me, who isn’t a team player.
• The next day she went to the club with a badminton racket & started playing badminton from scratch, She says it was difficult to play while not knowing a single thing about badminton.
She says this is how in 2011 I embarked on a journey to play badminton.
• As mentioned above, Schools in oman did not pay attention to providing sports facilities .
I request to the Empire of Oman please promote sports in School level because sport is everything.
So badminton just remained a hobby until 2018 when she came to Pakistan.
Here she joined Beacon House Margalla Campus. It felt good to see a badminton court within school. She gave out trials and got selected in the Beacon House Badminton team.
After a question she replied I was very lucky to have found a coach like Sir Azeem Sawar.
He became my inspiration in badminton. He trained me and further improved my skills in badminton & turned my hobby into my passion. I was made captain of the badminton team here in Beacon House.
• In 2019 she was given the chance to play badminton on National level. She got selected in Islamabad badminton team and also got a chance to play in the qualifying round.
She says it was one of dream moments Playing badminton in Gadafi stadium Lahore.
• She also played tournaments within the school and inter school.
