The Daily Notable (Web Desk) Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said on Thursday that all judges who give sentences on false declarations would be held accountable.
“False witnesses will soon be behind bars and the entire system will be back on the right track as soon as a couple of perjurers are sentenced to life in prison,” he said while implying at changes in the criminal justice system.
In the event that a judge can’t serve equity in criminal cases, he or she has no right to have that authority, Justice Khosa said and included that lower judiciary in Punjab pronounce the death penalty for almost every accused one.
“In 1985, an English judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) said that no dying individual tells a lie anywhere in the world aside from in Punjab, where he or she does so and leaves a couple others struggling.”
Justice Khosa kept up that if judges of lower courts were not able to serve equity, the [lower] courts ought to be shut once and for all.
