Letter To The Editor – Online Jobs for Students – Daily Notable

Online Jobs for Students

Dear Editor

“

I am a student of BSIR and I have noticed that many students in our country have financial issues but still they want to pursue their dreams, but job and study together is very hectic and somehow it puts you in trouble.

As we know the most favorite job in Pakistan at student level is Call centersor BOP’s but call centers it self are too hectic for students, taking 300 plus calls a day and on top of that sticking to screen for hours is difficult on top of that when you know you got 3 assignments on pending it gives you a different pressure.

Similarly our Government of Pakistan has introduced some internships but they are not permanent till the completion of the degree.

Because Only Together We Can

So here is my point I request high authorities to look forward on this idea to provide students online jobs. Where they can run Government based projects and earn money in home. So it would be easy for students to study without any pressure. Along with that it will Personally groom students and will prepare them for bigger scale in future. As we can relate with other countries how they provide loans at least we can provide online jobs with easy targets.

Opinion:  Goverment can provide the responsibility of their projects electronic or online work. To students with easy targets along with system generated pay. According to work that has done by individuals, and also it will be a benefit for the Government.

Short courses can be introduced in order to educate the students about particular work. Such initiatives will bring much ease for students so they can continue with their education without any hurdles.

The time duration should be according to their degree programs.

Because education can actually bring a lot better changes to Pakistan.

“

First of all Thanks to the Editor for publishing my words that means a lot to me.
Secondly I would you urge you people to ask any questions or any doubt you have regarding this.

This letter is about those students who can’t study due to financial issues and some of them joins night shift jobs or part time so they can continue with their degree, which effects their study due to high pressure /work load.
So government should introduce some online jobs related to government projects so it would be much easier for students to Persue their dreams, because it’s our right to study.

I would like to go on and ask that how will these government jobs compensate the students if they are doing excellent in that particular field. Will they be willing to keep these students permanent recruits on completion of their respective degrees?

    • Syed Haider Sultan says:

      Very nice point Madam.
Surely Government will have a record of students who have been working well, and ultimately state should always prefer bright minds that can be beneficial, so truely it will help both , students and State

It’s really good idea especially for those students who have financial issues and can’t continue their studies. So, we need to unite and spread this idea rapidly.

    • Syed Haider Sultan says:

      You are very right Adina,
According to survey more than 40% is students can’t afford quality education. Whereas In Sindh, the literacy rate has decreased from 63.0% to 62.2% which had to go upwards. So I hope there can be a better change for youth because we are the ones who will set standards of this beloved state.

    • Syed Haider Sultan says:

Madam, students play an important role in every Field, most of our newly introduced State projects are the ideas of students, so I would urge our youth to spread ideas and knowledge and don’t be demotivated, because fresh minds deliver fresh ideas

Mr. Haider you gave a great idea! I appreciate. I believe when there’s a will, there’s a way. At first, the idea is brilliant and it focuses on those students who have real financial issues regarding their studies and also to thier daily life. But just an brilliant idea is not enough and it cant bring any change alone, it requires a efficient mechanism and a proper pre-planned system to implement this idea countrywide. In this regard, firstly there is a dire need of visionary leadership for the implementation of the idea countrywide because provide online jobs to thousands of students in a state like Pakistan would not be an easy task.
Secondly, along with visionary leadership and a good mechanism there is dire need of consistency or continuation because we have seen in the most recent history of Pakistan that one present government started an initiative then with the change of government or the new government comes in power, the new government stops or discontinues many initiatives of previous government due any real or self made reason. So there is also requires consistency and continuation with an excellent policy and mechanism.
Thirdly, to provide online jobs to students, there would be a need of internet and many other necessary tools countrywide for a successful implementation and start of this idea. As we have observed most recently due COVID-19, HEC decided to continue higher studies via zoom application and it has been observed that students of backward areas of Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and KPK were unable to access better internet and still the situation is same.
Fourthly, it seems impossible that online jobs with good salaries will be provided to eligible students because we all know that there is alot of nepotism in every government’s institution, ministry and department. This idea would be successful if nepotism will be entirely avoided but it seems impossible.
Fifthly, for the implementation of the idea government also requires some recommendations to make that idea successful and these recommendations should be from eligible deserving students or from those concerned intellectual, recommendations should not be taken from elite class and from those who have no concern or cant understand difficulties of students with financial crisis.

The idea is brilliant but what about mechanism, visionary leadership, guarantee of continuation of idea, nepotism and corruption??

You should publish a letter too, you raised nice points

  11. Zeeshan Chandia says:

Very good analysis, but one thing we need is a proper system for everything. If any student need a job during his/her degree, university must facilitate those students. 2ndly when government will provide basic facilities and free education then students don’t need any job during their studies. For experience and learning, students have 3/4 months break in a year, during this time university, gov should facilitate through signing MOUs between private firms to provide internships to the students. Our 2st priority and demand should be basic facilities and quality education ‘free for all’ that’s how we can improve this system.

    • Syed Haider Sultan says:

Yes sir your points are really valid ,hope to see good work by our minister of education and minister of youth. I have high hopes

Aap jese logo ki zrurat hai pakistan ko jo apne liye or apne rights k liye khry uth’ty hain and that’s true k students jab leaves pr hote hain ya unko free kr diya jaata hai toh wo sb se pehle call center hi ko prefer krte hain cause yehi ek field hai jo un parh ko bhi or achy khasy prhy likhe ko uski financial problems mein help krti but iska koi scope nahi according to my point of view i wish government apki yeh request ko consider kre or kuch acha soche hum students or un logo ko liye bhi jo cal center se ht k kuch krna chate jise unhe mental sakoon ho..

Yes it us a brilliant idea. Our government should take some serious steps to provide such opportunities especially for students. I am also working in a call center and i know how many problems or hurdles i am facing as i am also doing my studies with it.
I respect your intentions towards the youth Syed Haider Sultan.

Dear Haider, thank you for this excellent article. You have you have highlighted a very important matter here. I hope it reaches to right authorities timely and they take positive action. Students of this era not only need academic knowledge but also require skills which can be executed at different levels as well as to help them make consistent earnings alongside instead of putting their families and themselves under financial burdens in order to gain valuable education.

Please keep sharing the good work.

    • Syed Haider Sultan says:

Thanks a lot Madam, and you are very right because most of our students suicide due to the pressure of studies, so when studies alone is a big pressure then we can’t imagine the situation of people stepping in two boats at a time.

I agree with you but how can an online project help students groom personally they can’t teach everything in online short courses some things are technical.

    • Syed Haider Sultan says:

Thanks Madam and very nice question you have,

Basically the main manifesto is to provide financial help to students so they can continue their studies in Universities.

And if we compare the government based projects somehow they are going to be much better for students rather than selling insurance to American people or other parts of world. It will also help government to keep record of students and their work ethics would be improved . Short courses are just for the basic know how. Just like training before jobs. Hope you agree

  25. Warisha Rashid says:

The point is totally valid, it comes in the sphere of the government to look into the matter of providing educational and as well as earning facilities. Student having higher educational background such as Mphil, even cannot get recruited in a well reputed establishment. The online earning facility will have a bigger impact, and will help many, this can even help those females who aren’t allowed to work in the field but from home. Keep on writing more. Your words will soon leave its mark.

  26. Halima says:

Well done . Totally agree with you?

  27. Isra Khan says:

Indeed, a very good analysis. Although Online jobs will provide the work experience that high school, college and post-graduates students so desperately need. After all work experience is what gets your resume noticed and your foot in the door for an interview and it’s a brilliant idea. Keep up the good work.
