The death of humorous poet Prof. Inayat Ali Khan, who used to highlight social issues in the spirit of satire and humor, is an irreparable loss to humor literature.

These views were expressed by the Chairman, Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL), Dr. Yousuf Khushk in his condolence message on the sad demise of poet Prof. Inayat Ali Khan.
Moreover, he said that his poetry collections are an asset of humorous poetry. Prof. Inayat Ali Khan’s two books of stories and poems for children are also a valuable asset to children’s literature. His books also awarded. He remained associated with the teaching profession.
He was primarily a humorous poet. His style was similar to Akbar Allahabadi. Social issues were prominent in the themes of his poetry.
