Calligraphy Exhibition Jamaliyaat concludes – Daily Notable

According to the sources of Daily Notable, The week-long Exhibition titled” Jamaliyaat” ends here on Thursday at Alhamra art gallery, the Mall. The exhibition was not just another exhibition, but a Calligraphy contest as well.
In which four best artworks received the cash price of 50,000 for the winner and 30-000 for the second position and the 3rd one 20-000 and the 4th one awarded 10-000. The winners include Usman Ghani from Gujranwala on 1st. from Rashid Ali Sajjad from Karachi on 3rd and Rehmat Ali from Rawalpindi got 4th position.
The Calligraphy Exhibition and contest was a great step taken by Alhamra to create room for the young souls and encourage them to show their calligraphic skills to the world.
Provincial Secretary Finance Abdullah Sumbal was the chief guest of the last day of exhibition and workshop; he presented the cash prizes and certificates to the winners.
On the occasion he said that Alhamra is the main platform for the promotion of art.
The art of calligraphy is a reflection of Islamic traditions; this exhibition is a classic example of Pakistan all five Calligraphy Khat’s. I appreciated the efforts of Lahore Arts Council for the promotion of art and culture all over the world, he added.
Executive Director, Lahore Arts Council Saman Rai, praised the artists. And termed the art of calligraphy an intellectual legacy of Muslims.
Rai said that through this week-long Calligraphy, exhibition, workshop and the calligraphic contest LAC provides a platform for the young and artistic youth for learning the skills of Calligraphy and showcases their talent to a larger audience at the national and international level.
Rai further said that the Alhamra is thankful to all the artists for their participation with a great amount of enthusiasm, I would also like to congratulate all the winners who have received the best Artworks award and best wishes for all participants.
We hope to continue this exhibition and workshop for upcoming years with more zeal and improvement, she added.
During all the days of the week-long exhibition and the workshop, the audience was thrilled. To see the diversity of calligraphy artworks that were displayed at the gallery.
At the last day of the workshop, a large number of people came to see the exhibited artworks. And said that all the works exclusively phenomenal from one another. At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation given to the workshop participants.
