The Success of the “Singing Contest” Attributed to Ayesha Tariq & Richael
On Thursday, February 25’s evening, the Lahore Arts Council devoted to the music. It held a finale of a singing competition, a singing talent hunt in which youngster took huge interest and enthusiastically performed at Alhamra Hall 2 at Arts Centre the Mall.
The “Contest was attended by more than 100 singers from all over Punjab who were auditioned and 16 singers were selected for the final round.
Those sixteen singers showcased their singing skills during the finale, which met an enormous round of applause and audience appreciation.
Ayesha Tariq in “Geet,” and Richael in “Ghazal” secured the first position, Saad Sultan in Geet and Ehsan Ashraf in “Ghazal” took second, and Pakeeza Lal in “Geet” and Nafees Ahmed” in Ghazal got the third position. The Winners of Ghazal and Geet both From Punjab Collage.
Renowned singers Hamid Ali Khan, Taranum Naz, and Ustaad Abdur Rauf performed their duties as the jury, who expressed gladness over the singing competition and said that Alhamra made a great effort to promote young talent in the field of music to move forward.
Executive Director Lahore Arts Council said that the emergence of new talent in the “Singing Competition” is a sign that young people are passionate about music, great artists have been born from this platform.
He further said that Alhamra is a leading institution in art appreciation, “Singing Competition” is a living example of this. I thanked the jury members and congratulated all the winners, he added. – PUNA
