According to the sources of Daily Notable, Rotary International Club was found in 1905 by Paul P. Harris as a service club. It is a humanitarian service organisation which brings together people from all walks of life, whether they’re business men or leaders.
People around the globe gather to promote peace, fight against disease and natural disasters, provide clean water, take care of mothers and children, in addition to supporting education and growing local economies and supporting the environment. The current president of Rotary Club for 2022-2023 is, Jennifer E. Jones, born in 1967. She is the first woman president ever in the 117 years history of Rotary Club. She has previously served as Rotary International vice president, director, training leader, committee chair, moderator and district governor.
Jones is also the founder and president of Media Street Productions in Windsor, Ontario. She said one of her goals as Rotary International president is to have double-digit growth in the number of female Rotarians and Rotarians under the age of 40.

Her visit to Pakistan after becoming President, shows her seriousness, sincerity and passion for Rotary Club and helping people. Although the meeting was so short at Serena Hotel, Islamabad, but her down to Earth nature and simplicity is really commendable.
According to the sources of Daily Notable, her stay in Pakistan is of 9 days, the longest period ever any President of Rotary International Club spent in Pakistan. Wish to see her growing by leaps and bounds in all fields of life.
