According to the sources of Daily Notable, Bureaucrats should avoid sabotaging treatment facilities in government hospitals, spreading unrest and harassing doctors by misuse of authority.
The untimely rush by Primary and Secondary Health Department and the issuance of a Central Duty Roster to hide its departmental incompetence is a failed attempt to worsen the already rusty treatment facilities. These actions of the department have caused a wave of concern among patients and medical staff.
These views were expressed in an emergency meeting at PMA House. The meeting was chaired by Professor Ashraf Nizami, President PMA Lahore. Prof. Dr. Malik Shahid Shaukat, Khalid Mehmood Khan, Dr. Iram Shahzadi, Dr. Wajid Ali, Dr. Bushra Haq, Dr. Riaz Zulqarnain Aslam participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister of Punjab has been demanded to stop the bureaucracy from taking wrong decisions as he is an expert in his administrative affairs in situations such as lack of resources and manpower, and at the local level, which includes Tehsil and District hospitals, in the medical department, Immediately issue orders to settle policy issues with local officers and Pakistan Medical Association. – PUNA
