Government takes steps to promote sports: PM – Daily Notable

According to the sources of Daily Notable, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that the government is taking measures to promote sports, including squash, in the country.

These views were expressed by the Prime Minister in a meeting with renowned squash player and former world champion Jan Sher Khan.

Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to Jan Sher Khan for his success as an eight-time world champion and six-time British Open champion.

He said Jan Sher Khan’s talent and services were significant in popularizing the sport of squash in the country.

He said that providing the best sports facilities to the youth is among the priorities of the government.

Jan Sher Khan briefed the Prime Minister about his recent activities to promote squash in the country.

Currently, Jan Sher Khan is coaching young squash players. – PUNA
