Interim LG Minister Punjab vows to take no Government Perks

According to the sources of Daily Notable, Punjab’s caretaker minister for Local Government & Community Development (LGCD) Ibrahim Hasan Murad, has announced that he would not take any kind of government perks and privileges including transport and salary during his tenure.
He was visiting LGCD offices in Civil Secretariat after assuming the charge of his ministry. Secretary LGCD Syed Mubasher Hussain briefed him regarding the departmental affairs and development projects. The provincial minister while reviewing the progress of work on the development schemes said that the best provision of municipal services to the citizens would be his first priority.
He said that he would also take briefings from the Solid Waste Management Company, Parking Company, Cattle Markets and other institutions of the department. He said that the LGCD department had a key role in providing basic facilities to the masses at grass root level. He directed the employees of the department to serve the public as a duty and ensure the provision of other municipal services including sanitation in every city, street and neighborhood. – PUNA
