According to the sources of Daily Notable, Islamabad capital police apprehended 10 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Awais Ahmed and recovered 1140 gram hashish from his possession while police team also arrested an accused namely Muhammad Awais involved in illegally gas refilling.
Similarly, the Khanna police team arrested six accused namely Dilawar Khan, Usman Ali, Awais Khan, Ameer Mehmood, Shahzaib and Mehmood involved in possessing illegal weapons and bootlegging and recovered five 30 bore pistols with ammunition and 15 liters liquor from their possession. Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Arbaz involved in drug paddling and recovered 1625 gram heroin from his possession.
Moreover, the Noon police team arrested an accused namely Naeem Kareem involved in possessing illegal weapons and recovered one 12 bore shotgun with ammunition from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
CPO/ DIG (Operations) Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a regular basis, he maintained. – PUNA
