PHA Director Engineering, Asghar Ali misuses his power for personal gains. Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore has defamed itself with redhanded corruption worth 5 crore pkr approximately. They have completed work before their announcement which is clear violation of PPRA rules.
According to the sources of Daily Notable the tenders, for improvement/ upgradation Clock Tower at Roundabout, Main Market Gulberg Lahore (worth Rs. 19,034,189/-)and improvement/ upgradation of fountain & water channel at Jillani Park Jail Road (worth Rs. 32,026,526/-) have been completed despite the fact that announcement of tenders is on 31st October, 2023.
In reference to the news published in Daily Notable with pictorial evidences on 30th October, 2023 titled “White Collar Crime by PHA Lahore”, senior journalist Miyan Nadeem received life threats. When PHA Director Engineering, Asghar Ali was asked about these dealings and his undue favor to the Ameer Ali company, he threatened the news reporters.
Yesterday (31st October, 2023), the tenders were supposed to be held, whereas, work has been completed already. Furthermore, when DG PHA, M Tahir Watto was informed about the matter, he condemned the action and mentioned to blacklist the company. The journalist community demands transparency and suspension of PHA Director Engineering, Asghar Ali. Such people are shame for the society. He should be punished as per the rules of law. – PUNA
