According to the sources of Daily Notable, A group of five prominent theatre luminaries are visiting Lahore to participate in Ajoka Theatre’s 40th birthday celebration event taking place on Saturday 25 May at Alhamra.
They include award-winning theatre director, writer and actor Kewal Dhaliwal, theatre scholar Arvinder Kaur Dhaliwal, theatre and film actors Anita Devgan and Hardip Gill and poet and d playwright Arvinder Singh Chamak. They have collaborated with Ajoka for a long time and bring a message of peace and solidarity for Pakistani artists.
Eminent artists and media personalities who have been associated with Ajoka will also attend including top journalist Hamid Mir, TV stars Savera Nadeem and Mehmood Aslam, prominent singer Sara Raza Khan, veteran dancer Zarin Panna and pride of performance winner Shermiandad qawwals are also attending the event.
The event includes an Ajoka Theatre exhibition, dramatic and musical performances and screenings. – PUNA
