According to the sources of Daily Notable, Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Rubina Khalid called on Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan in Murree. During the meeting, Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Rubina Khalid gave a detailed briefing to Punjab Governor about the functions of the organization.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the vision of the leadership of Pakistan People’s Party is the welfare of the common man and providing them with basic facilities. He said that millions of deserving families are the beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support Programme. Governor Punjab said that the Benazir Income Support Programme is the largest social security net that is providing financial assistance to people living below the poverty line.
He said that the problems of deserving families registered under the Benazir Income Support Program in the backward areas should be addressed on priority. On this occasion, Chairperson, Rubina Khalid said that under the Benazir Income Support Programme, financial assistance is being provided on the basis of merit to the deserving women across the country. She said that steps are being taken to include more beneficiaries in the Benazir Income Support Programme.
Later, Punjab Governor, Sardar Chairperson Child Protection Bureau, Sara Ahmed called on Punjab Governor.
Talking on this occasion, Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that children are the asset of the nation and their care, safety and upbringing is the responsibility of the parents as well as the state. He appreciated the steps taken by Chairperson Child Protection authority, Sara Ahmed for the protection of children. Governor Punjab said that Child Protection Bureau is playing a key role for the welfare of children.
On this occasion, Chairperson Child Protection Bureau, Sara Ahmed briefed the Punjab Governor about the measures taken regarding the protection and welfare of children. Chairperson Sara Ahmed also invited Governor Punjab Saleem Haider Khan to visit the Child Protection Bureau.
Besides, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan had a special meeting with the Vice-Chairperson Punjab Social Protection Authority, Jahan Ara Wattoo.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider said that only by working together, the society improves and achieves success. He said that various organizations are rendering valuable services for the welfare of the society. Governor Punjab appreciated the various programmes undertaken by the Punjab Social Protection Authority for the welfare of the poor. Vice-Chairperson Punjab Social Protection Authority Jahan Ara Vito said that the mission of the organization is to provide relief to the deserving and needy sections of Punjab. – PUNA
