Promotion of Human Rights The Key responsibility of Global Powers – DN
International Human rights day has celebrated on 10th of December all over the world to express solidarity with deprived strata and oppressed people of the world.
While observing the human rights day, global powers must think over the core issues and the conflicts and the conflicts of the world and basic reasons behind. People of the conflict zones are suffering badly by the occupying powers.
Human rights violations are on peak level in conflict zones especially but not properly focused by the global powers due to their vested interests. They must sort out the ways to protect the lives and promotion of human rights without considering religion, color, cast or race.
Much has been written on the topic as it is directly linked with human being and humanity having direct interest & problems of the world.
It covers almost all the basic rights of the people even from the basic necessity of life, the food problem faced by deprived strata of under developed countries to freedom of expression in developing and developed nations. It is interlinked with execution and solution of problems faced by human being on personal capacity or on national and international level.
The best lesson of HR has been taught by our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) during his last message. He said that. “All people have equal rights and no one is inferior or superior by color or cast”.
We are living in the era leading to the development on its peak level. Man on one hand has landed on moon and is about to capture the other wide spreads planets but on the other hand it is devastating the humanity itself. It is very crucial and challenging to people working for the human rights to protect the lives and promotion of human rights in conflict zones like Kashmir and Palestine. It is most crucial and bitter truth that developed nations have completely failed to protect the lives of people in conflict zones and they completely failed to defend the life of human beings by promoting the human rights.

It is human being who violates the human rights. There are nations and countries exploiting the rights of people and nations. Kashmiri people are the symbol of worst type of exploitation. Exploitation caused by the illegal occupation of a large part of Kashmir by India leading to the division of Jammu & Kashmir. Families have been divided since 1947 and social, religious educational, economical, moral and political values are affecting badly.
People are not allowed to meet each other because there is a control line well called a bloodline with in the territory of state of Jammu & Kashmir. Social, cultural, political, educational and economical set up of an old civilized nation has been completely deteriorated due to heavy deployment of military and Para military forces responsible for record human rights violations in the region.
One can’t explain and write the feelings and scenes of both sides of Kashmiri people standing on the opposite banks of the river Neelum to only look at each other fully depending upon the will of Indian army. Both sides of Kashmiri people even having blood relations are not allowed to meet each other due to LoC and this blood line itself is a symbol of violations of basic rights of Kashmiri people. What is their crime and where they are guilty? No one can answer to this question and no one can explain. In-fact the Kashmiri community is facing a terrible life.
Use of excessive forces against innocent civilians protesting peacefully and extra judicial killings is deplorable and a blatant violation of the right to life, right to freedom of expression and opinion, right to peaceful protest, right to peaceful assembly and other fundamental rights.
In case of Kashmir the reports of world’s famous human rights organizations and media proved that Indian occupying forces are responsible for massacre and worst type of torture including violence against women, crackdowns, disappearances, custodial and target killings in Kashmir.
Practice of fake encounters is on its peak level and lawless laws as well described by amnesty international are practicing against the people by declaring them terrorist who in struggling for their birth right the right of self-determination in the light of UN resolutions.
There are number of mass graves in Jammu & Kashmir expressing the Indian war crime and challenging to the world peace keepers. According to evidences made by Parvez Imroz a well-known human rights activist and his field workers, the numbers of unmarked graves were about 6000 (The Guardian, London, July, 09, 2012). U.S State Department Report, 2010 has declared that extra Judicial killings by security forces in Kashmir is a major Human Rights problem. ( U.S state department Report, 2010).
Jammu & Kashmir coalition for civil society disclosed that police had attacked ambulances taking the wounded persons to hospitals. Cut off internet and mobile phone networks by authorities is a routine matter.
Hundreds and thousands of innocent people have been killed; more than 25000 have been severely injured, near about 40000 arrested by the Indian armed forces and hundreds of people’s eyes have been completely destroyed by use of pellet guns Since 2017 only.
There is a lockdown situation in occupied Kashmir since August 05, 2019 after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A of the Indian constitution to end the special status of Kashmir. India has turned the region of Kashmir into a worst prison. People of Kashmir are suffering badly due to complete curfew in the valley having great risk of another holocaust in Kashmir.
Youngsters have been arrested along with leaders of All Parties Huryat Conference. Even mainstream line politicians of various political parties have also pressurized by the india to stop their activities.
Kashmiri people have strongly demanded to international human rights organizations and experts to raise this humanitarian issue evoked due to illegal occupation by India and denial of right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
The international community must end the policy of neutralism and silence over a long-lasting humanitarian issue of Kashmiri people. Global Powers must pass a unanimous resolution to stop worst Human Rights violations in Occupied Kashmir by immediate demilitarization in the panic region.
Otherwise claims by the international community to uprights the human rights and Celebration of the world Human rights day will have no value for people of Kashmir and other conflict zones.
