According to the sources of Daily Notable, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar announced that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will launch First CM Punjab Pink Games 2024 on Thursday May 2. The first CM Punjab Pink Games will be held from May 2 to May 5.
The Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs announced that at the logo unveiling ceremony in the presence of a large number of media representatives at the National Hockey Stadium on Monday.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial, Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal, Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed and other officials were also participated on this occasion.
1,300 female athletes from 19 universities of the Punjab province will participate in the Pink Games, says Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar. “A prize money of Rs 05 million will be distributed among the participating players in the first Chief Minister Punjab Pink Games,” he added.
During the first Chief Minister Punjab Pink Games, all the participating female athletes will be given best facilities including playing kits and allowances, says Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar. “Our monitoring committees will observe the performance of all athletes minutely for the merit based selection.”
Female athletes will be seen in action in seven sports disciplines such as badminton, table tennis, archery, basketball, athletics, hockey and cricket (tape ball) competitions, he added. “Sports Board Punjab will select the best 100 players from Pink Games and prepare them for inter-provincial level games,” he added.
Furthermore, he informed the media that two major sports events, (Punjab League and Punjab Games) will be organized in near future. “The competitions of Punjab League will be staged in phased manner from union council level to tehsil, district, divisional level and provincial,” he explained.

Moreover, the female athletes were not given much importance in sports in the past but Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz is playing an animate role for the development of sports culture particularly female sports across the province.
The top 500 performing talented male and female athletes will be groomed as per requirements of international sports competitions, says Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Faisal Ayub Khokhar. “The talented athletes of different games will be retained for one year and during this period they will be provided with the best training facilities,” he added. – PUNA
