Dr Attaulwadood’s observations of The Cosmopolitan Club November, 2019 – November, 2022
The historical value of The Cosmopolitan Club, Bagh-e-Jinnah. Lahore is unparalleled. From November, 2019 to November, 2022 significant efforts of staff have been observed, despite the alarming conditions of COVID-19. The renovation of building alongside new paint has added much aesthetic value to the sight of club.
Moreover, as the installation of new furniture would be hard on finance, therefore, to make the club more attractive poshish of old furniture was changed. In addition to it, beautiful and comforting tables and chairs alongside fans, were added in front lawn of the club to increase the number of sittings as well as, to promote a healthy interaction among the club members.
However, special measures were taken to enhance the enchantment of room 1 and room 2 by adding LEDs and movables. Whereas, many literary programs were organized including book inaugurations by the full time cooperation of The Notable Society Worldwide, while SOPs of COVID-19 were observed. In addition to that healthy programs like kitchen competitions, (among which bbq nights were of utmost importance), and musical nights were ensured for the active participation of club members.
About hundred guava trees were planted as per the need of drastic climatic changes. Whereas, the Introduction of mineral water in 500 ml, 1.5 ltr and 19 ltr for only 50rs as Cosmo Water has remained such an excellent approach for marketing of the club and pocket friendly service for the club members. Moreover, cricket, tennis, badminton, and snooker are played daily by male and female members. Whereas, the use of gym under COVID-19 SOPs ensured.
As now elections are taking place, two parties are very active one is Cosmo group and the other Cosmo united while one person is independently going for presidential elections’22 The Cosmopolitan Club Lahore.
In the nutshell, the tenure has exquisitely confronted the challenges of COVID-19 and turned no stone unturned to facilitate the club members. This is written to appreciate the practices from 2019 to 2022 and to briefly recall the activities in the best interest of club members.
