According to the sources of Daily Notable, a meeting was held under the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi to discuss matters related to the Chief Minister’s Low-Cost Housing Scheme project and an order was issued to reconstitute the Punjab Housing and Territorial Authority Board as soon as possible.
The CM aimed to make it easier for low-income earners to get home loans and called for a workable plan for providing home loans to low-income earners.
The process of disbursing small housing loans for PHATA and other programs was reviewed and the issue of providing easy loans worth Rs 80 million for house construction through Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance was also discussed.
The CM noted that owning a house is an essential right of every human being. In partnership with Akhuwat, interest free loans will be provided for construction of houses in less than five Marla areas.
Economic activities will also increase by providing easy loans to the low income class to build their houses, he claimed and welcomed the 100 percent recovery of 200 million interest free loans through Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance.
The meeting was attended by Chairman Akhuwat Dr. Amjad Saqib, Secretary, DG PHATA and others. – PUNA
