Gas theft crackdown: Another 220 connections disconnected in Punjab, KP and Islamabad

According to the sources of Daily Notable, during the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 220 connections; Rs 4.5 million fine imposed In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 26 connections on illegal use of gas.
In Rawalpindi the team disconnected 2 connections on illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 0.07 million against gas theft cases. In Multan 08 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while another 15 on use of compressor.
The team also imposed fine of Rs 0.45 against gas pilfers. In Peshawar and Karak, the company disconnected 108 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 3.82 million against gas theft cases.
The team additionally lodged 10 FIRs towards gas pilfers. In Sahiwal five connections were disconnected on unlawful use of gas at the same time as any other one on use of compressor. In Sheikhupura 49 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while 1 on use of compressor and amount of Rs 0.04 million booked against gas theft cases.
In Faisalabad the crew disconnected 05 connections on unlawful use of gas and imposed pleasant of Rs 0.16 million towards gas theft cases. – PUNA
